I have put up several short movies about my feline roomies. Some of them are really funny since Kiara decided to become a YouTube star.

It is quite amazing how much optimal frame may add to a painting looks.
I feel that this is especially true for watercolors. They are also easy to frame, being usually made on thick special paper.
Awfully important is also to use matching passepartout (photo mount) which will actually bring out the bright colors.

Within a week my painting “Hochleite in January” received a nice comment and has been sold. I hope that many others will follow since I need the space on my walls for many new exciting painting projects.

My Photo of a woodpecker swallowing a whole cherry has been published in a German Newspaper http://www.sueddeutsche.de/wissen/leser-fotos-eigene-perspektiven-1.23671-22.
The story is a bit difficult to translate, because in German Schluckspecht (schlucken = to swallow and Specht = woodpecker) means “Boozer” and the whole meaning is sort of wordplay.

This is the first of rather small quadratic paintings of birch and other tree studies. This one is using black canvas. The acrylic paint is quite thick here, forming a relief like structure. All four large sides (4 cm, 1.57'') are painted in the same manner.
